We had a lovely day today when we met up with Bruce, Jill and Jason (the other South African family in Graz) and explored the town a bit. Jason and his family have been here for just over 3wk already and have really had some tough blows dealt their way. This family really has had some bad luck but I do believe that Jason will eat, in his own time. Read their story on www.jasonsjourney.weebly.com.
Yesterday both Tayden and Jason weren't all that well but we did manage to visit some of Graz, meet each other in person for the first time after so many emails, calls, skype'ing and sms'ing!
We went up a cable car with a restuarant at the top, the view was amazing and with the weather clear and sunny, you could see forever. We apparently brought the better weather with us, since it had been raining in Graz for about a week prior to our arrival.
We took a long walk around the hospital where we will be admitted tomorrow and l am at a loss to describe its beauty to you. As our taxi driver said, it is almost like a village on its own, constantly reinventing itself, constantly upgrading but continuously offering patients the top medical care in the world - and that is exactly why we are here...
The Children's Hospital is set against a hill with the most gorgeous forest around it, we had a sneak peak at a lovely playground which is going to cause us many temper tantrums l am sure, as Tayden won't want to leave it! LOL..If nothing else, it is going to get Rob and I fit for all you do here is walk! We are loving every minute, as is Tay as he loves being outside.
Tayden once again didn't eat, he sucked on a pringle or two but nothing worth mentioning. We are REALLY looking forward to getting cracking with the program. We are told that magic happens in Graz and we do believe it.
