We had some free time before play picnic which worked out well as Tay could take a nap and be all fresh - and also gave us a chace to see the Prof when she came around. Today Tay has only had his morning feed at 6am and will have another feed tonight when he is asleep. The rest of today he has managed on his own liquid and food wise.
As of tomorrow, he will only be getting a night feed once he is asleep and from Sunday night there will be no more night feeds either. Heaven help us, quite a daunting but very exciting time ahead!
Play picnic was um...well...interesting to say the least. We were told to have Tay there a bit earlier so that he could settle before the other kids started arriving. So Jill and Jason and Tayden and l got settled...and Jason got upset and started screaming and performing a bit, like all kids do. This then set off Tay, the natural sympathiser that he is, to start crying too and we had to leave the room. Jill tried in vain for about 10 minutes to settle Jason, while Tayden watched quite happily from behind the mirror. Jill then realised that he was just too tired and Jason left the picnic for some quiet time and rest, he had had a really busy morning with therapies and was just nackered.
As he left...enter Tayden again who sat on my lap and wasn't all that interested in the picnic at all. This, until about 15 minutes into the picnic when he started yelling at the top of his lungs for no reason whatsoever. After a few minutes of this, we were kindly 'excused' (AKA told to leave!!!) play picnic. LOL - so at 2yr Tayden has already been thrown out of class, l don't think even Tayden's notoriously naughty Uncle Pierre can top that one!
We then had a session with the psychologist again who thinks Tayden is just too cute for words. She was playing with a puppet with him and he was totally mesmorised. She told us that we should try and get Tay to sit next to the little American girl at play picnic tomorrow, Christina is totally enjoying the play picnic and not at all verbal and screaming so she would be a great influence for him.
All in all, a good day for Tayden. He was more interested in the food that was brought to him for supper and although he didnt eat alot of it, he did eat about 5 teaspoons of a pudding similar to sago pudding, amdhe was willing to put some of the other tastes into his mouth. He drank 60ml of water and 10ml of milk on his own today which is great! He is looking a bit pale and a bit grumpy but this is totally normal given the circumstances.
