I wrote yesterday about not being stressed about weight etc but must admit I wasn’t charmed when I saw the scale was down another 100gm this morning (Yes Yes, I know I am not meant to weigh him everyday but hadn’t done so since Friday, so I thought I could sneak a mini midweek weigh in!). I was convinced he would be up….since he is eating so well. The only thing I can think of is that he is sooo active. He really doesn’t sit still for a second! It doesnt seem fair that he eats what he wants and STILL loses while mommy is trying to lose weight and he is losing faster than she is! LOL!
The night terrors are still around and last night was a particularly bad one….perhaps the change and going to OT yesterday triggered a very bad one? Although he wasn’t really upset during the OT, more annoyed at times with the textures etc but I guess that is enough for sensory overload and another bad night. Nowadays I just pop him in the bed between us and that seems to calm him a bit although not always. Last night he was tossing and turning so much that I actually left him with Rob and went to the couch and slept there. Peace for me…plus funnily enough when Rob snores he snuggles into his chest and sleeps better. The vibrations calm him? Don’t know, will have to ask the OT that one! LOL!
I got a surprising call from Carte Blanche yesterday to say that they will be rebroadcasting the Tube Dependency segment and wanted to know if anything had changed since the last time we spoke. I wanted to yell YES!!!!! My baby boy is eating!!!!! I told them our good news and hope that they will include it in an update on their program, to give all those other mothers and fathers out there hope – your child CAN be tube weaned!
Tayden’s peg-coming-out party is set for 4th December and of course it will have a Barney theme – what else! This child of mine is Barney verskrik but it is just so cute when he stops eating and leans over to offer the little stuffed Barney next to him something to eat. Too cute for words!
