Tayden is doing so well and the doctors are very pleased with him. He hasn't had a weigh in yet today but l am willing to be he has either stayed his constant 11.4kg or he has even put on weight. I will be very surprised if he actually loses weight, not with the amounts that he is taking!
Raleen, you mentioned a braai and muffins...little mini ones would be great for him, but your boy does't have a sweet tooth so you's better make mom's carrot ones for him! Cant wait to get home to you guys either, Tayden is missing his favourite aunty!
We went exploring yesterday with Patrick and his parents, we piled into their 4X4 and explored the Austrian countryside and we went back up with the cable cars to see the snow on top of their mountain, at 1445m (or is it feet? Hmmm...not sure!) Anyway, after driving around for 2hr and SEEING the snow but not being able to get there, we stopped at the end of the road where there was snow outside someone's house but the guy wasnt very friendly so we went back to the first place we saw a touch of snow 2 days ago - the cable cars.
Boy, i have realised that a white Christmas must really be something special!!!! Tayden loved the snow and was so pleased to be able to get out and about after the long car trip and l managed to get at least one or two good pics of him in the snow and wrapped up like an Eskimo!
Eating wise, he is doing so well but still only what he wants to eat, not much variety so we are doing cereals, chips, french fries, some tuc biscuits, fruit loops, pretzel sticks etc. He is not keen on anything sweet (hello? Is he not well!!!!! LOL...) but sticks to the savoury items offered. Each morning at breakfast he will eat a soft boiled egg and demand the inside of the bread roll from Rob and l! He likes it plain, without any butter and he chomps away on that until his egg arrives. Yesterday he did try a bite of strawberry but they were lovely and sweet and he did a typical Tayden gag and mini vomit, like we were trying to poison him! He sat with a whole grape in his mouth for quite a while, didnt actually eat it but kept it there, nice and safe!
The other kids on the program are doing well. The Amiercans dont seem to think that Christina is doing too well but the doctors here seem pleased with her progress. She is also into savoury items and play picnic sees her devour about 100ml of gravy, yes gravy! The twins are doing well too, Felix is teaching Nico exactly how to eat and Nico's weightloss is getting less and less by the day as he learsn to sustain himself. Hannah is the star of the class at the moment, we saw her mom on the way to breakfast at about 8am yest and Hannah had already polished off a mini tub of vanilla pudding! Way to go! I have heard today that she has gained 80gm! who-hoo!
Patrick is into his water and his parents put a special calorie mix into it and although he is losing slightly, they are not concerned and very happy with his progress.
All in all, Graz is working its magic with all, some taking a bit longer than others but we can all smile as all t
