. Ready steady eat!
That seems to be the motto of our little man at the moment and we are LOVING it! Last night I had the joy of being able to give him some macaroni and cheese, a little kiddies meal from Woolies and be ploughed through close to half of it! I was so impressed! I am still finding it hard not to show how happy I am at the eating (one of the main principles of the program in Graz – no praise if they eat) but inside I am bursting with joy!
I contacted the speech and occupational therapist and am waiting for confirmed appointments to get him assessed and into a little programme for each, so will update on that as soon as we have news.
One very exciting thing that has happened is Tayden and I are going to check out a Toddlers workshops, a kind of moms and tots program on a Saturday morning. I have always wanted to do this with him, but never managed to find one. Well guess what, we have and tomorrow at 9am we are off for lots of fun!
I have heard that the children in our group from Graz are doing so well and it really just makes my day! We all got along so well in Patrick in particular is taking off like a house on fire, slurping down his purees and his mom is so chuffed with him! He had about 200ml the other day – what an achievement! Laurie, wow! We are so impressed and happy that Patrick is well. Just read on facebook that he has put on 500gm in one week! My word, he has got this eating and drinking down to a fine art! As we have been told many times, Graz is MAGICAL and has proved itself again!
This weekend we will be having a braai to celebrate (belatedly) my and Rob’s birthdays along with Tayden’s excellent tube removal. Will have to buy some ribs for my little man.
All the best to Gemma who is currently in Graz, we hope her program is going well. For
