It's officiall, our angel will have to have his anti reflux operation redone on Wednesday 9th June 2010. I chatted to his surgeon yesterday afternoon and after hearing about us being able to see the blue dye in his mouth and his refluxing out the blue dye that I am feeding him through his feeding peg, it has been decided that we will go ahead and redo the anti reflux operation without wasting any further time on tests for confirmation. From past experience, we know that Tayden will not eat if he is refluxing and the recurrent chest infections are hinting at him aspirating again.
Tayden and I will fly out on Tuesday morning (compliments of Wings & Wishes, thank you so much again!) while Rob will drive down on Monday to ensure that we do have a car at our disposal while we are in CPT.
We see Prof Brown on Tuesday afternoon and he will operate Wednesday. Rob and I are very nervous and heartsore about this decision that has been made, we remember what Tayden went through last time and this time we are dealing with scar tissue on top of things! It is going to be hard, but we need to be strong for our little man, he is such a little toughie and we need to support him and remember this is what is best.
Also, if he is refluxing and aspirating as we think he is, then he will not be accepted onto the program in Graz so we need to sort it out now.

I remember Zane's car seat test and rooming in before he came home. It is an amazing feeling to be able to walk out of the hospital to take your little one home.
