As you may know, Tayden suffers from a very bad dairy allergy and has gone into Anayphylactic shock twice as a result. This however means that we are very limited in what we can offer him to eat - no yoghurts, no custard, no cheese, nothing that contains any form of milk in it.
At home, it is easy to control what he does and doesnt eat and what he is exposed to or not. However, taking him halfway across the world and having him participate in play picnics is another story altogether, especially as one of the first foods that the kids tend to eat is Graz's famous chocolate pudding! We need to know where we stand on this issue, but more importantly we need to protect Tayden from eating something that can cause him to be
We have been told that many children outgrow their dairy allergies by age 2 and we are hoping that this is the case with Tayden. Here's hoping...
Along with our faithful paediatrician Dr Purchase who is not keen to put Tay at risk either, we will run the milk challenge tomorrow, in order to give us and Austria the confirmation of whether the allergy is still a problem or not.
Here's hoping that he will pull through with no problems whatsoever, no medical intervention needed and allergy free!
